Prince Albert II travels to Jeddah to support Team Monaco at the E1 Electric Boat Series
The Sovereign travelled to Saudi Arabia to attend the launch of the 2026 season of the world electric boat championship, where the Monegasque team scored its first points.
The 2026 E1 Series season began on Friday 23 January in the calm waters of the Red Sea off the coast of Jeddah. The day after the qualifying rounds, on 24 January, Prince Albert II came to support Team Monaco for the main races. The electric boat championship, whose team owners include personalities such as LeBron James, Tom Brady and Rafael Nadal, provided an intense spectacle for thousands of spectators gathered on the shores of the Red Sea.
The Aoki Racing Team emerged victorious after a thrilling final against defending champions Team Brady. Drivers Sara Misir and Dani Clos delivered a remarkable performance, enabling their team to take the lead in the championship. The Jamaican driver was awarded the title of Driver of the Day for her mastery under pressure.

In their first race of the season, drivers Maxime Nocher and Oban Duncan secured ninth place for Team Monaco with five points. This encouraging result allows the Monegasque team to begin its campaign in this championship promoting electric innovation and sustainable mobility on water.
Prince Albert II reveals Team Monaco for the 2026 E1 championship
The standings for this inaugural round put Aoki Racing in the lead with 40 points, ahead of Team Brady (33 points) and LeBron James’ Team AlUla (24 points). The championship will resume on 24-25 April on Lake Como in Italy, before stopping in Dubrovnik on 13-14 June and returning to Monaco on 17-18 July.
