Louis Ducruet opens up about his future

After his wedding, Prince Louis Ducruet, nephew of Prince Albert II of Monaco and son of Princess Stephanie of Monaco, expressed in a rare and exclusive interview with our colleagues from Hello Monaco, his many plans for the future.

At 26, Louis Ducruet knows exactly what he wants. It is he who chose, for his marriage with Marie Chevalier, to unite with her in the Cathedral of Monaco, where the couple would be surrounded by their families and friends, as well as some dignitaries from the Principality. The young man was indeed very attached to connecting with the presence of his grandfather, Prince Rainier III of Monaco, who also married there. “I admired seeing him talking to people, being so natural and sensitive to everyone at the Palace,” he recalls. The couple also decided to move to Monaco, after living in the United States for their studies. “It was the best solution for us.”

Football, profession and passion

If having a baby is part of their future projects, Louis and Marie wish to wait a little longer. Louis has just started working for AS Monaco, directly with Vice President Oleg Petrov, which allows him to fuel his passion for football. “It’s the best thing in life to go to work. I was very lucky because it is difficult to break into this environment, but I try to prove every day that I deserve this job. I need to show that I am competent and open to continual learning,” he went on. While waiting for the return of Ligue 1 play, the prince can take advantage of his favorite places in Monaco: The Condamine, the Brasserie of Monaco and the Planet Pasta.

A delightful insight into a charming member of the royal family.
