Wannenes auctions off more than 570 luxury items, including jewellery, iconic handbags and exquisite watches

Bvlgari, Rolex, Boucheron, Hermès, Chanel… these are just some of the prestigious names that will be going under the hammer at the upcoming Wannenes auction at the Hôtel Métropole.
The prestigious Hôtel Métropole will host Wannenes’ next auction, featuring 575 exclusive items. The lots will be on display from 4 July, ahed of the sales on 7 and 8 July 2025. It is an unmissable event for the most discerning collectors and those who appreciate rare pieces.
Originally from Genoa, a historic centre for jewellery and gold, Wannenes was founded in 2001 by a Dutch family who had lived in the city since the 17th century. The company expanded to Rome, Milan and Turin before extending its reach to Monaco in 2018, where it is now a reference in sales of exclusive items.
Fine jewellery: treasures from the past
Fine jewellery enthusiasts are sure to fall under the spell of the 344 pieces unearthed by Teresa Scarlata, the very discriminating head of the jewellery department at Wannenes and an expert in the field for four decades. The star item in her opinion is a Boucheron-Auger necklace (lot 430) dating from the late 19th century that converts into a brooch and hair pin. It is a modular piece of jewellery that shows remarkable craftsmanship, since “there were no machines at the time,” says the specialist.

Estimated at between €18,000 and €25,000, lot 444, a Louis Maruzzi bracelet dating from 1925, stands out for its historic charm. It features flower shapes that are made up of diamonds, amethysts and emeralds of different sizes.

Among the refined Bvlgari jewellery up for sale, there is a “Trombino” ring in platinum, Kashmir sapphire and diamonds. It is a very rare piece, because “the Kashmir mines are closed down now,” says Teresa Scarlata.

Other lots are equally sought after, including a certified emerald and diamond brooch by Cusi (391), a ring with a ruby of rare purity (264), Chanel cultured pearl and diamond earrings (414) and a set of cufflinks by Van Cleef & Arpels, lot 445.
Rare and coveted bags
Among the rare bags on sale are Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Dior and Gucci, as well as a large number of Hermès pieces. Take lot 91, for example, a turquoise Swift leather Kelly bag, estimated at between €6,000 and €8,000, and the perfect accessory for the season. The Birkin 35 in dove grey Togo calfskin (lot 96) also stands out for its very good condition and elegant style.

A limited edition Chanel bag in black leather and pearls (lot 98) embodies the emblematic savoir-faire of the French fashion house. It is in excellent condition and is valued at between €5,000 and €8,000.

143 prestige watches
Renowned for its timeless design, a Patek Philippe watch has a reserve price of €38,000. It is a 2012 Annual Calendar model in pink gold, with its original case and all the necessary guarantees.

Two particularly rare and prestige Rolex watches stand out from the selection: a 1977 Day-Date in yellow gold with a coral face and a Daytona in white gold, which first appeared in 2011. And these superb creations aren’t the only ones by the famous Geneva firm…

Wannenes will welcome lovers of fine pieces on July 7 at 2 pm for the luxury bags, followed by the jewellery at 3.30 pm and 6 pm. The watches go on sale at 2.30 pm on July 8.
