Christmas festivities begin in Monaco with the lights, the Village and the ice rink
Now fully lit up, the Principality is entering the end-of-year festive season.
On Thursday evening and last Saturday, the streets of Monaco were transformed into light displays in front of the Princely Family. The entire Principality is now lit up, from Fontvieille to Monte-Carlo, via La Condamine and the Jardin Exotique. The start of December marks the beginning of a festive programme that will continue until 4 January 2026, with the opening of the Christmas Village on 5 December and the return of the ice rink at the Rainier III nautical stadium.
As every year, Place du Casino welcomes an 18-metre-high Christmas tree, now one of the symbols of the Monegasque celebrations. The façade of the Casino de Monte-Carlo will also feature light projections until 4 January, with a daily programme from 19 December.

The traditional Christmas Village opens on 5 December
Monaco’s port will host the Christmas Village from Friday 5 December, this year on the theme Au pays des nounours/In the Land of Teddies. The opening will take place at 4 pm, and the village will then remain open every day until 4 January 2026, from 11 am onwards.

Visitors will be able to wander among the chalets offering treats and artisanal gift ideas. The village will feature several funfair attractions: the Ferris wheel with panoramic views over the port, a carousel, a slide and the traditional Christmas-tree ride. Roaming entertainment will punctuate the days, with dance troupes, musical parades and stilt walkers.
The ice rink open until March

The ice rink will make its return to the Rainier III nautical stadium! It will be open from 5 December 2025 to 1 March 2026, allowing Monegasques and visitors to enjoy the experience well beyond the festive season.
- The price is set at €8 for an unlimited session from 11 am, skates included.
- Admission remains free for children under 5.
- Monaco residents can benefit from a season pass at €80 for adults and €20 for schoolchildren and students.
