It was at a press conference held in Milan, at the Palazzo Guireconsulti, near the famous Duomo, that Zeljko Franulovic, director of the Monegasque tournament, presented the next edition of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.

Organised by SMETT (Société Monégasque pour l’Exploitation du Tournoi de Tennis), from 11 to 19 April 2020, on the famous clay court of the Monte-Carlo Country Club, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is the first European tournament in the prestigious ATP Masters 1000 category.

“I look with great interest at the good results of Italian tennis, with Fabio Fognini and Matteo Berrettini in the lead. Since our tournament, Matteo has had an excellent season, with a semi-finalist place at the US Open. Not to mention the emergence of promising young Italian talent Jannik Sinner,” said Zeljko Franulovic in Milan. The Tournament Director pointed out the “real enthusiasm of the transalpine public”.

The 114th edition kicks off on Friday, April 10, 2020, in the presence of Fabio Fognini, winner of the 2019 Tournament, with the draw for the final draw.

As a reminder, the Italian player won his first title in an ATP Masters 1000 by winning in two sets (6-3; 6-4) in an unprecedented final against Serbian Dusan Lajovic. Fognini raised the Prince’s Cup 58 years after the victory of Nicola Pietrangeli, the last Italian winner in the Principality.

Notice: the meeting is scheduled for April 11 to 19, 2020. It is advisable to book as soon as possible in order to benefit from the best places still available. Indeed, the first weekend of the Tournament will take place during the Easter holidays.
