Athletics: who are the new participants of the Herculis EBS Meeting?

This great international athletics meeting is fast approaching. As is the opportunity for organisers to announce the athletes taking part in the 2020 edition.

Rest assured that there will be plenty of big names at the Stade Louis II on August 14th. After announcing Joshua Cheptegei, world champion in 10,000m, Sifan Hassan, world champion in 1,500m and 10,000m as well as Yulimar Rojas, double world champion in triple jump, the Herculis EBS Meeting organisers have recently announced further participants.

World and European champions

To the delight of track and field fans, other world champions have confirmed their place at the event. Among them, we can expect to see Jamaican sprinter Elaine Thompson, double Olympic champion in Rio in 100m and 200m, as well as Beatrice Chepkoech, Kenyan athlete who holds the world record in the 3,000m steeplechase (which was set in Monaco in 2018). Also in attendance will be American athletes Grant Holloway and Donavan Brazier, world champions in 110m hurdles and 800m respectively. Finally, the last athlete to be announced is Poland’s Justyna Swiety-Ersetic, reigning European champion in the 400m.
