Growing concern in Belgium

According to an Agence France Presse report based on official sources, the epidemic continues to spread worldwide with 16.5 million confirmed cases and more than 650,000 deaths. The process of flattening the curve continues in several European countries. Faced with an upsurge in cases, Belgian Prime Minister Sophie Wilmès has announced a tightening of health measures and strongly recommended working from home.

UNICEF also sounded the alarm in a report published on Monday. According to the organisation, nearly seven million more children around the world could suffer from malnutrition as a result of the economic and social crises caused by the pandemic.
